Sunday Sailing
This Sunday Jonas invited us for a short sailing tour outside Höllviken. It turned out to be my first real sailing competition (which we did not win, by the way), and the first time the wind was so soft we could use the spinnaker, the largest, most colorful sail in the arsenal of sailors. Some pictures showing us on board and our companions in the sailing competition.

And some pics from copenhagen
These weekends appear to be full of action or at least full of pictures. This posting of mine comes in bursts... Anyway, here are some typical views from Copenhagen: a park alley, the Tivoli amusement park, the Carlsberg (beer producer) elephant, several doors and, finally, some views from our evening promenade on the canals in Christianshavn, together with Mike.

A favorite teaplace in Copenhagen
This little bistro is slowly becoming my favorite place for tea in Copenhagen. It is called Thé à la menthe and its theme (both foodwise and decoration) is Moroccan, as its owner originally comes from there. I always get a kick out of the strong colors and always enjoy their selection of teas. What is better in the summer than a cup of mint tea?

Visit to the Museum of Modern Art Louisiana
This past weekend we took a little trip across the Öresund and visited the Modern Art Museum in Humblebäk, north of Copenhagen. They have a pretty good collection of European and North American modern pieces and a lovely sculpture park populated with works by Jean Arp and Henry Moore among others. The park also displays the beauty of the surrounding nature very well, as the following pictures will hopefully show.
We were there with Hans and Adriana, and spent a whole afternoon walking about. The main exhibition was about Green Architecture, but it did not lend itself well to photography (and it was very technical) so no documentation of that section is included. It was a very interesting topic though, so more information is available here.

Sun in the city and outside it
Yesterday was the first real day of spring in Gothenburg. So much sun that my eyes, used to the grey and cloudy days of Lund, were in shock. After the party, we took a boat to one of the many islands outside the city and simply enjoyed a walk by the seaside. Amazing what a little sun can do for one's morale! Now, back in the colorless Lund, the contrast with the beautiful yesterday is even more striking.
